General Terms and Conditions
§1. General provisions
1.1. The Kaggle Days Conference, hereinafter referred to as the “Conference”, takes place between 10.04.2019 and 11.04.2019, at the Cloud Next venue. The duration of the Conference is from 10th of April to 11th of April.
1.2. The organizer of the Conference is LogicAI sp. z o.o. (LTd) with its registered office in Warsaw (Jana Nowaka Jezioranskiego 7/31, 03-984 Warsaw, KRS 0000719466), hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”.
1.3. The provisions of these General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the Application for Participation in the Conference referred to in section 2.1., and it applies to all who have registered their participation in the Conference (“Participants”).
1.4. The participants of the Conference can be a person professionally connected with the theme of the Conference and the Conference partners.
1.5. The conference will include sessions on the subject of Data Science and related topics.
§2. Participation in the Conference
2.1. The candidate for the Participant may register his participation by filling in the application form available on the website https://kaggledays.com/registration/ ( “Application”).
2.2. The Organizer decides about participation in the Conference on the basis of sent applications, at its sole discretion.
2.3. The number of places is limited. The expected number of Participants is 300 people.
2.4. Participation in the Conference is payable. Information on the amount of fees for participation in the Conference is posted on the Conference Website.
2.5. The fee for participation in the Conference must be paid to the account indicated by the Organizer. Information required for fees can also be found on the Conference Website.
2.6. Lack of payment for the participation in the Conference within the time specified by the Organizer, authorizes the Organizer to cancel the application, without any liability for any damages.
2.7 The Organizer will not provide a refund of any fees paid by the Participant, in the event of a Participant’s resignation from participation in the Conference.
2.8. The cost of stay and transit for participation in the Conference is covered by the participant.
2.9. The deadline for submitting the Application for participation in the Conference via the www.kaggledays.com website expires on April 3rd 2019. Registration after this date will only be possible depending on the availability of places.
2.10 The number of places for Workshops is limited. The expected number of Participants on each workshop is 50 people. Participants will be chosen by the Organizer, based on a form provided by the Organizer before the event.
§3 Organizer’s rights
3.1. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Conference schedule.
3.2. Any changes to the Conference schedule introduced by the Organizer will be available on the Conference website.
3.3. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the Conference.
3.4. The participants will be informed about the cancellation of the Conference by e-mail.
3.5. The organizer reserves the right to change the date, place or duration of the Conference. The participants will be informed about the change of the date or place of the Conference by e-mail.
§4. Obligations of the Participant
4.1. Participants are required to follow the safety rules, health and safety regulations and fire safety regulations in force at the premises where the Conference is organized or any other rules stated by Organizer.
4.2. Participants who are the Winners of the Competition during the Conference are obliged to upload their solutions to Organizer. Organizer and its affiliates shall have a non-exclusive, worldwide, free of charge right of use, reproduce, adapt and other known fields of exploitation to these solutions for one (1) year from the end of the Event.
§ 5. Competition
5.1 The Organizer reserves the right to use models created by the participants during the event, however it is not Organizers intention to monetize developed solutions.
5.2 During the Competition Participants’ will use their own computers.
5.3 During the Competition Participants’ can create Teams of maximum 3 people.
5.4 Participants’ can use Google Cloud Credits provided by the Organizers only for the Competition purposes according to Google License.
§ 6. Final provisions
6.1. Any disputes that may arise from participation in the Conference will be settled by the court competent for the seat of the Organizer.
6.2. Sending a Registration Form posted on kaggledays.com means accepting the provisions of these Terms And Conditions, as well as compliance with the order regulations and any other arrangements made between the Participant and the Organizer.
6.3. In matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the Polish Civil Code shall apply.
6.5. In the event that the Organizer carries out the material on which the Participant’s image will be recorded (in a photo or video), the Participant allows for the dissemination of its image by the Organizer or by other persons on behalf of the Organizer for advertising, promotional and marketing purposes, including copying, on whose image has been perpetuated, and to multiply the image with all available techniques and methods, dissemination and publication, including images of other people. Consent to the use of the image may be revoked at any time, with the reservation that withdrawal of consent does not include advertising, promotional and marketing materials produced before the date of withdrawal of this consent.
6.6. The organizer is not responsible for the items of Participants that may be lost, damaged or stolen during the Conference.
6.7. Participants bear full financial responsibility for their destruction on the premises where the Conference takes place.
6.8. These Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on the day of publishing them on the website kaggledays.com
6.9. The organizer has the right to change the provisions of the Terms and Conditions. The changes come into force within 7 days of being posted on the website kaggledays.com
